The Illuminated Glass Splashback is a great way to light up your kitchen and looks superb in any contemporary setting. These splashbacks are designed to fit against the wall behind your kitchen worktops and will add a unique lighting effect to your kitchen. It looks especially good fitted against reflective work surfaces as the effect of the light is heightened.
Options for Splashbacks
The splashback is sold as a fully assembled set and comes in three different sizes and wattages – 500mm/8W, 600mm/13W or 1000mm/21W. It is fully wired and assembled to a satin stainless steel frame which screw fixes into the wall. The splashback consists of the light panel, 1 x T5 fluorescent tube and a light fitting with a 3m bare ended mains lead. Please note that the mains plug is not included and it is best to get the Illuminated Glass Splashback fitted by a qualified electrician unless you are a competent DIYer. Fixing materials and an instruction booklet are included with your purchase.
For an added design feature, you can purchase a glass shelf for the splash back, which can be used to hold cups and saucers, bowls and any other kitchen item you’d like to display. This must be bought separately. A popular way to add a fantastic feature to your kitchen is to purchase two or three splashbacks and fit them to a bare wall in your kitchen instead of behind the work surface. Then purchase some glass shelves and use this wall as a beautifully lit display area, see the third picture here for an example of this design feature.
PLEASE ORDER A RUBBER GASKET SEPARATELY – this will ensure a secure fixing and prevent the worktop from becoming scratched. Replacement T5 Fluorescent Tubes are also available for the Illuminated Glass Splashback.
